Obviously, you can R E A D a book. But can you come up with other ideas? What else can you do with a book? Make a list, and then look at mine: You can write a book. You can also title and illustrate it. You can borrow a book from a friend or a library, or lend it  to someone (if it's yours). You can buy or sell a book. You can choose a book, pick it from a shelf, put it into your bag or hide it under the sofa. You can sit down with a book. You can open a book, leaf through it, and close it. You can put it aside, lose it, forget it or even throw it in the bin. I hope you won't, though. So, pick one now and enjoy reading it :). PS How many words from my list, or yours, can you  repeat now?

Look at the night sky - the dark blue background dotted with countless stars looks magnificent. Let it give us a fine excuse to revise and remember some cosmic vocabulary: the Universe / cosmos space the Big Bang a galaxy / galaxies the Milky Way planets of our Solar System: Mercury, Venus, the Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune (and, previously, Pluto) a planet a comet a star the Sun the Moon

Here are some questions that you can ask that carry a similar meaning (plus some answers): How are you doing? = How is it going? = How's life? Fine.  Good.  Great.  Not too bad, thanks.  Well, it could be better. What's up? Everything's fine / OK. So, how are you doing? :)

The reason is simple: to share tiny bits of English with those who want to learn the language. The entries will be regular but short.  You will have a chance to collect words, sayings, idioms and various phrases. One at a time. Just like we do when we collect shells.  Or pebbles.
